Love your writing. Everything is so honest and raw and VALUABLE for others to read and know they are not alone. We can't do everything, and that's ok.

This resonates for me! I have been struggling with my own lack of motivation in my spiritual practice. After reading this, I'm inspired to try to think of my struggle as evidence of my love for my practices and a promise that I will re-engage when I can make space, rather than an opportunity to shame myself with "should haves". Thank you my friend for the inspiration

Kristina, your writing is tremendously beautiful. Thank you for sharing these words. They rang so true for me. I’m very much in the evaluation and re-evaluation of where I want to spend my time and what I need to let go of (even things I love) to prioritize what is truly most important - which right now is more time in the garden, expanding what we can grow, and learning to can and preserve. But there’s a lot that needs to be let go of to make room for it! In all these explorations with you 💛

What a lovely post, and a very good reminder that we may have to give up some things we really want to do, in order to have the life we want. You conjure up a lovely, peaceful world.

But it made me laugh that you write about women cooking all day, since I have just written a note about how modern appliances freed women to be able to enter the workplace. https://substack.com/@motleystories/note/c-40316909

I do think nuclear families suffer from having to do it all. Children are unable to run out into the fields with the other local kids, and stay out all day, or pop into friend's houses. A huge family is not available to cook and supply food and support in emergencies. Even with modern appliances, there are a lot more responsibilities and chores.
